Length of texts ...

On the web, 79 per cent of all readers employ a technique called "scanning", which is reading through the text quickly to locate specific information. Consequently, online texts should contain only half the number of words of a printed text to facilitate information retrieval.

The presentation of text should be clear and easy to follow.

Texts should be divided into smaller units, preferable short paragraphs, each of which should have a heading or a subtitle.
